TOWN LIFE IN GIBSONS-CHAPTER-35-SG-Y-2-S-4-WINTER-1866

                  CHAPTER-35-SG-Y-2-S-4         

     It was the first day of winter in Gibsons and it had turned out to be a clear sunny day to start with though it clouded over and the town got pelted with hail later in the day.The winter festival also arrived after the fall festival left at the end of fall.The residents had also updated outfits they were wearing for the winter season though their outerwear wasn't the kind meant for snow because it wasn't snowing yet.

    The town had also been building a new junkyard over the last few days and it had finally been opened for business as winter was starting.It was getting cold overnight though the temperatures could get above freezing in the day.The residents did start to visit the junkyard soon after it had been opened up to visitors.Everybody had been preparing for winter and it was getting cold though it was usually clear and sunny.

    The residents were all busy enjoying outings to the pool to fish on the weekends when they didn't have work.It was still fairly early in the season though they were nearing mid-winter and the town hall was getting built on a new lot because they'd noticed the old buildings were leaking badly and getting damaged badly from the rain they'd had for most of the year until the winter arrived and it was cold though clear.

    It was later on that Tad had her fifth birthday and decided to get a less babyish outfit for everyday.It was clear that she was growing up if she was beginning to not want to always look like a baby when she got dressed in the mornings.Others in town were also getting older like Eli being fourteen instead of thirteen.Ami was also turning fourteen later in the season.Cody was also turning nineteen soon.

     There was a new construction project to get the new town hall built in Gibsons after the old buildings started leaking so badly that they decided to rebuild the complex instead of repairing the old buildings.It had progressed well over the bulk of the winter season and they were expecting to get it done before summer arrived.The new town hall wasn't likely going to fall apart as easily as the old one did and would last longer.

     The Olsons had been getting to bed at their usual 9PM over the last few days in mid-winter and it was now into the last few days of winter.Cody turned nineteen and Tad was five years old now.She started wanting to dress less babyish sometimes though it might be still done other times.They were looking at how they'd handle things in four years when Tad was no longer a child and could live on her own if she wanted to.

    The Olsons both decided to check out the Town Center Garden House in Gibsons because it looked like something new had been added in the night while they were sleeping.It turned out that a ferris wheel was the new thing added there and they were excited to test it out.It ended up being a great thing to add to the hangout since it was for most age groups instead of being for adults as had been the case with other additions.

    The Jankowskys had gone to bed later that evening and got woken up in the night as their burglar alarm went off.The sheriff got the outlaw who turned out to be a hard up prospector who'd come out looking for gold and had bad luck.That was just fuel for the fire forcing the town to come up with a welfare system to help those who were having hard times and were in need to get back on their feet.

   The Jankowskys had gotten up after their robbery which was a failure for the guy trying to rob them.They'd spent most of the day writing on their computers with a few breaks for updating outerwear for spring and playing online social games on the iPads.The new town hall was well underway with construction and the town was hoping to get that done sometime over the spring because the new building was badly needed. 
    The residents had survived another winter though this one didn't have any snow and it was time to get ready for spring and for the new year since the year of 1867 was about to start the next day.Residents had all gotten older like Eli and Ami Jankowsky were both fourteen.Cody was nineteen while Tad was five.The Jankowskys were planning to start trying to have a baby though they were going to start adding more to their house before they really started trying to have a baby.Everybody had some leftovers that had gone bad and they started cleaning those things out by getting them eaten up quickly.
