CHAPTER-1:1:9 (NEW IMMIGRANTS)-DAY-9
Eli and Ami Jankowsky were both up a little late on that Monday morning in Gibsons and they ended up eating leftover salad for breakfast without noticing it had gone bad.They did notice that it tasted funny and ate it anyways because they had little choice.
They both decided to spend some time working in the gardens to get some harvesting done so they could earn some extra money.They still had to get ready to go for their destinations to get their work done and hope they could get ready for work at the grocery store later.Ami went to Mountain Road Garden House while Eli took Central.
A few from out of town were visiting Garden House as Ami started heading over to start working in the garden to get produce harvested for sale at the grocery store later.It was already getting to be a very hot day outside and they both wanted to get the harvesting done before they had to report for work at the grocery store for their part-time jobs.
Ami arrived at Mountain Road Garden House while Eli was on her way to Central Gibsons Garden house to get to work on the garden there.She was going to work on getting produce harvested from there to sell it later.
Ami had arrive at Garden House and got right to work on harvesting the produce from the garden there though it was getting very hot outside and he wanted to do other things because their salaries were still very low until they started earning more raises.
He was working very hard in the garden all morning long and wasn't close to being finished in the garden until it was about 1:30 in the afternoon and he'd had to quit to start getting ready for work.He stopped off at home to get ready for work and went to the store a little early so he could get the produce sold for some cash.
Eli had been working in the Central Gibsons Garden House while Ami was working at Mountain Road's Garden House.She was getting close to being done with the garden work she spent most of the day doing.She eventually started getting washed up and ready to head for work at about 1:30 in the afternoon when she remembered work.
They both managed to arrive at work by 3:30 in the afternoon and their shifts would last until 7PM when the work day was over for the night.They'd both chosen to take part-time work instead of full-time because full-time jobs left no time for learning.
Eli and Ami both stopped to eat the leftover salad for dinner and remembered the times before in Russia where they'd had to go to bed hungry because they couldn't afford to eat more than one meal each day. They sometimes even skipped eating for a day because they didn't have enough money to eat.
Their salad had begun to go bad on them and they failed to notice it was already spoiled before they got to eat it though it didn't matter because they didn't want to waste it.They'd had to learn to not let food go to waste over the years growing up.
Eli and Ami were very tired out after a long hard day of working and gardening to earn money so they'd not go broke and be able to save up their money for starting a family one day.
It was 7:30 when they got into bed and the daylight was almost faded away by then.They still had to sleep in their kitchen because they only had the one room and the washroom on that massive lot.
